The Multi-categorical Program supports students with a wide range of needs and disabilities to help them develop skills and teach them to use individualized strategies.
The approach is designed to be inclusive; teachers work with students who have mild, moderate, or severe intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, and other needs across a variety of categories. Instead of separate programs for each disability, these classrooms can accommodate diverse learning challenges. The curriculum addresses comprehensive, grade-level learning across subjects.
How We Help
Student-Centered Planning
Services are highly individualized, ensuring that each student’s unique needs and interests are met. Activities and schedules are designed based on input from participants, fostering a sense of ownership and engagement.
Experienced Staffing
Under the direction of a licensed Special Education teacher, a trained education specialist works with students. Class sizes are small, with a flexible curriculum to provide support for students who may have multiple, overlapping disabilities that don’t fit neatly into a single category.
Cultivating Achievement
Instructors ensure students receive compassionate, hands-on support that promotes both personal growth and long-term success. Team recommendations and baseline assessments help guide the student’s course of instruction.
