Behavioral Health Services
The Behavioral Health team utilizes a team-based approach to assist participants with gaining necessary tools to best support their well-being.
Improving Lives Through Teamwork
Communication and behaviors go hand-in-hand. When individuals engage in behaviors that impact their social functioning and complicate their living situations, it’s time to understand the root cause. Our team identifies the best plan to help support this person, understand what they’re trying to communicate, and how we can meet their needs more fully.
We understand this is an ongoing process. From the initial evaluation to the supportive training we offer your team, Hands of Heartland will participate in the team’s efforts to assist the individual with achieving their behavioral health goals.
“People deserve fulfilled lives… to have a holistic view of them in every area that they could be doing their best.”
Our Approach
Diagnose & Evaluate
Our licensed mental health professionals use a variety of evaluation tools to gain a better understanding of the individual’s behavioral needs.
Functional Assessment
Our team completes a full assessment to identify the targeted behaviors, the function of the behaviors, the missing skills set(s), and identify the appropriate intervention techniques.
Training the Team
We train your staff in the intervention techniques as well as an overview of the diagnostic and basic expectation based on the functional assessment.
Ongoing Support & Treatment
We understand the journey for behavior modification does not end with a Functional Assessment. This is why we continue to provide ongoing support for the individual through meeting attendance, plan modification and retraining as needed.
Why Choose Hands of Heartland?
Hands of Heartland staff take the time to get a strong sense of each person’s history, patterns, environment, and community to best serve them. We continue to develop our expertise and focus our energy on creating a comprehensive and well researched plan and continue to be a resource throughout the process.
