HOH Community Training Academy expands Hands of Heartland’s mission by providing high-quality, evidence-based training to professionals and community members.

 

The program delivers Mandt 3.0 Relational & Crisis Training (RCT) and Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED instruction to external agencies, reinforcing safety, connection, and professional development throughout the region.

HOH Training Academy offers an affordable, community-centered alternative designed for IDD providers, schools, healthcare programs, and nonprofit agencies across Nebraska. Courses are instructor-led and designed to promote participant confidence and safety.

Course DescriptionS

CPR/First Aid/AED

1-Day Class

The First Aid, CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) certification programs are combined, offering the opportunity to become certified in three important areas during one convenient class. Participants will learn how to recognize and respond to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies in adults, children, and infants. Classes are taught by a Red Cross certified instructor combining lecture with hands-on skills practice. Certification meets OSHA and workplace safety requirements through the American Red Cross.

Recertification 1-Day Class

Mandt 3.0 RCT training is a comprehensive evidence based approach to preventing, de-escalating, and intervening in behavioral situations. Its core philosophy is to build positive, healthy relationships and support individuals to create emotional, psychological, and physical safety in various environments like healthcare, education, and human services settings.
