The Residential Services at Hands of Heartland vary in setting and assistance levels, so that we can provide individualized supports in environments that foster a heightened quality of life and independence for people receiving our services.
At Hands of Heartland, we do everything that we can to ensure that adults with developmental disabilities can thrive and live fulfilling lives. One way we do that is through our Continuous Residential Services (formerly referred to as “Group Homes”).
Our Shared Living Service allows people to reside in a family-style home with supports provided by Hands of Heartland team members. This option is designed to invite a person into another family's home or for Hands of Heartland to assist non-guardian family members as they provide care to the person.
Supported Family
Sometimes the best option is for a person to reside with family, and we are happy to be able to support that need through our Supported Family Services. In this setting, a person resides at his or her home with family, and receives support from one of our highly-trained team members.
Independent Living
Our Independent Living Services provide a safe, independent residential environment for two people, without 24 hour support. These settings allow for people to experience heightened freedom and autonomy, but still provide access to support if needed.
