A&D Waiver Resources

The A&D Waiver offers an array of services to support people in their homes. It caters to individuals of all ages who are eligible for Medicaid and have complex medical needs, want to live at home, and can be served safely at home. Childcare and respite care are offered for children under 18-years-old to assist primary caregivers. For people 18 and over, professional caregivers go into the home and adapt services to the needs of the individual. They offer the primary caregiver a break and can include assistance with home care, chores, daily living activities, outings, and community engagement. To be on the waiver, a person is typically diagnosed before the age of two years with a qualifying condition that means a loved one or primary caretaker won’t likely be able to meet their long-term needs.
